I have paid Rs. 21000 for myself and my parents(senior) by a cheque can I get deduction for Rs. 21000/- ?
If no, what is the procedure to get deduction of entire amount.

yes you will get deduction...
addition 15000 is allowed for parents and 20000 in case of senior citizen...

You can only alloaw the deduction only Rs.20000/- in U/s.80D.

yes u can claim maximum deduction 15000...20000 in case of senior citizen..
this limit is 4 u n ur spouse n children...
a further deduction of 15000 or 20000(resident senior citizen) cn be claimed if u buy policy 4 ur parents..
in crux-dere is 2 grop-
1-individual,spouse,children-limit 15000 or 20000 as the case may be
2-ur parents-limit 15000 or 20000 as the case may be...
in ur case u r in first group u cn claim deduction of re 15000 4 ur self..
n upto 15000 4 ur parents...max 30000(assume none of u n ur parents is senior citizen)

You can claim deduction u/s 80D upto maximum Rs.30,000/- if none of you attained the age of 65 years.

Basic deduction: Mediclaim premium paid for Self, Spouse or dependant children. Maximum deduction Rs 15,000. In case any of the persons mentioned above is a senior citizen (i.e. 65 years or more as of end of the year up to F.Y. 2010-11 and 60 years from F.Y. 2011-12) and Mediclaim Insurance premium is paid for such senior citizen, deduction amount is enhanced to Rs. 20,000.
Additional deduction: Mediclaim premium paid for parents. Maximum deduction Rs 15,000. In case any of the parents covered by the Mediclaim policy is a senior citizen, deduction amount is enhanced to Rs. 20,000.

yes you can claim Rs. 21000 as deduction in which your share of premium must be less than 15000,
as per section 80D :- for self, spouse and children maximum Rs.15000
and for Parents Rs.15000 if they are senior citizens (above 65 years) than the limit will be Rs.20000.
tin short you can claim Total Rs.30000 ( if parents are not senior citizen)
and 35000 (if they are senior citizen)

Agree with the above all , but make sure Out of those 21000 Rs. if u have paid more than 15000 for your self then u would get maximum of 15000 Rs. only .......
