Only tution fees of childrens are eligible for deduction u/s 80C.

But if an assessee pays fees of private coaching classes for his child then will he be eligible to claim deduction for that....???

No you will not get deduction u/s 80C
Only Tuition Fees paid to school, Colleges university etc which are notified by Govt.

i totally agree with chitra .
an assessee will be allowed to claim deduction paid to institutions notified by govt. only and not to any private institutes providing coaching clases

Maximum amount of deduction in respect of Tuition fees paid to school, university, college or any other educational institute notified by Govt. is Rs. 1,00,000/- (U/s 80C)
