for maharashtra PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING CERTIFICATION AS A 100% EOU This document describes the procedure for obtaining certification as a 100% EOU. 1.) Who can be certified as a 100% EOU? Any unit engaged in IT Hardware or Software can be certified as a 100% EOU subject to fulfillment of required export obligations. Units would require to be registered as IT units (please see the section on ‘Registration of IT units’). 100% EOU’s are under the overall charge of Development Commissioners for Special Export Zones (SEZ’s). Thus, units desiring to be designated as 100% EOU’s in Maharashtra would require to approach the following office: Development Commissioner SEEPZ Andheri (E), Mumbai 400 096 Ph : 2829 0143 2. What are the facilities available to a 100% EOU? The 100% EOU scheme was introduced in 1981 and was intended to compliment the Export Processing Zones (EPZ’s).
