suppose, on 1.4.2015 the balance of debtors stood at 20,000 in the b/s what will b the accounting treatment on year end if no amount is recovered from such debtors throughout the year??

I think it depends on the payment or due dates. Whether they are still our debtors or converted into bad debts.

Remains same as Sundry Debtors, till yu receive payment or writing off.
