Good Morning Sir,
As per My knowledge and Understanding of GST Law,
Customer is not allowed to raise any debit or credit notes inrespect of sales made by supplier. that is supplier has sole right to raise either debit and credit notes.
Let me explain with an example:
'A' sold goods to 'B' for 10,000 Rs.
In this case person 'A' only have the right to raise either debit or credit note in respect of aforesaid sale of goods.
ofcourse, the concept of accounting and GST law here will clash.
So, Supplier should initiate the process of raising debit or credit notes under GST law, and the same should upload in GSTR 1, the same has to be reconciled with receiver GSTR 2.
If still you have doubt, please free to contact.
Thanks for giving an oppurtunity to serve you.
