we are a manufacturers.we would like to import used rails. what will be the hs code for the used rail?what will be the import duty applicable on the cif value?

HS CODE IS 8601
DUTY WILL BE :
BCD 10%,
CVD10%,
SPECIAL CVD4%,
CENTRAL EXCISE EDUCATION CESS:3%,
CUSTOM EDUCATION CESS 3%,

Just saw your communications.
I have used rail to sell out side india.
But understood it is not allowed to import at all.
Is it correct please guide.

@ asad There is no restriction in import of used rail into India. If yes please provide circular. Its allowed with bcd at 10 per cent extra.
