Customs duty is chargeable on Value of good+India+Freight+Insurance that is called (CIF value)
Further,the Customs duty is also charged on the value paid or payable for bringing the goods in India to mix in Indian land mass.In many cases in case of machinery import erection and commissioning charges customs duty is charged.
