Current account verification failing

I have a current account with HDFC bank which I use for receiving payment from customers. However I cannot add it to my PAN profile, the verification is failing repeatedly despite entering the right OTP. The income tax department is asking to verify the account using email, when there is no provision for email verification of bank accounts. I am able to add my other current and savings account. What could be the reason why the specific current account cannot be added to my profile?
