CT-3 is an extension of credit under B-17 Bond,
validity of CT-3 is dependent on the main B-17 Bond, which is maximum 6 months or the validity of bond, which ever comes earlier.

normally when CT-1/3 is issued, its deemed that export consignment is going to be despatched shortly, and 180 days limit is fixed after the actual delivery for export of goods after clearance,
hence the department insists to cleear the goods within 6 months of CT-1/3, however if part consinment is cleared, then against an intimation to CT-1 issue authority by the CT-1 holder, goods can be delivered on such CT-1/3.
of no clearance is made and CT-1/3 has been over 6 monthsl, then its better to intimate the authority 1st, and after that only make clearances, otherwise the tax credit may go under litigation for the bond holder,.

Please refer to the clause under the B-1 Bond, whereas the bond executor has undertaken to provide the period for submission of proof of export, which is six month by default and as per rules.
