Surely appear for both. The best example to see is of Balaji. If he hadn't given the Second Group, he would have secured only 144 and would not have cleared the first group. But the second group came to the rescue. Congratz!
I gave my CS Professional exam this December after studying for just 15 days, and didn't study for it any more than that. But still cleared with 56%. Why? Because its CS. They usually tend to have higher passing rates as compared to CA. So its always advisable to give all the groups at one go, and clear them at one shot. So if you are worried about the pressure of taking two groups at a time, I and Balaji are the ideal example to look upon.

for co.law institute material is much enough..dont ever get scared of the book vol.. u will have fun while reading co.law...since the same thing will be repeated...pls buy solved scanner for co. law..n also buy the guideline answers...make a habit of studying 100 pages per day with regard to co. law...for the first time study like a new ddaily...then once completing it..study those thing for atleast twicee....u should make minimum of 3 revision....for all the subjects escp..theory...for tax pls study use the notes of TN manoharan.. ..its easy to get 30-35 out of 40 in indirect tax.. with reagrd to direct tax u can use the said book r else padhuka.. Pls buy the book ONly THis much..its a very good book which give u a good idea abt subject espc..with regard to securities law...all the best do well..advance wish for ur june exam.. 2-3 months of devoted work will make u easily clear the executive level..
