Credit and debit note.

can we issue a credit note after the financial year?
if we issued a march month credit note in May, can we show it in the may month gst return or does it settles in gstr9?

Yes , you can issue credit note of F.Y 21-22 up to September 22.

Yes you can issue the debit or credit notes related to the sale of a particular FY upto 30th November of the next FY.

Mention the notes in the GSTR 1 upto 30th November.

Generally in every organization entries are made as on 31st March after the end of the closing of the year.

One can issue Credit Note up to November is in Budget 22 , but I think same is not yet notified by the GOVT , I just want to know is it notified ?. earlier it was September .
