You need to concentrate on the logics and practice again and again. Some students solve the practical problems orally which is not correct. If you solve the problems in writing, you have multiple benefits like - 

1. More concentration

2. Habit of writing as you need to give the written exam

3. more clarity of the subject, etc.

don worry much... Third time u will get exemption ...
cover all chapters conceptually.. solve all PM question and dont just give a glance do it in writing.. the more you write the much you will grasp and remember..

You should do a self assessment for your weak topics and work hard on them. It will help you to manage time so that you can practice in a better way and can score good marks.
