US based company R ahead in world market share in Most of the sectors,and MBA are earning astoundingly higher compare to Indian CA,reasons is value additions by MBA through Corporate Strategies Formations of Capturing Market Share of Particular Products in their respective Industry,The Corporate Strategies Formations is having Big impact on the enhancements of shareholders valuations in stock exchanges,The areas no one can ignore any longer,Hence subjected to discussions hereby by members students and users of this club.

I THINK THERE IS ALSO ONE THING BEHIND EVERY MBA'S SALARY I.E THEIR PREVIOUS DEGREES AND EXPERIENCES.IF YOU GO THROUGH THE I.I.M REPORT YOU WILL FIND THAT 55% OF THEIR STUDENTS ARE FROM I.I.T.10% OF I.I.M GRADUATES ALSO DONE CA/C.W.A/C.M.A.8% OF THEM ARE FROM DSE.AND 80% OF THEM HAS 1-3YEARS EXPERIENCE.SO WHEN CORPORATES GOING FOR CAMPUS INTERVIEW IN I.I.M THEY ARE GETTING TECHNOCRATS/CAS/CWAS/ECONOMISTS WITH MBA DEGREE PLUS AN EXPERIENCED PERSON SO THEY ARE PURCHASING THEIR MULTI TALENTS WITH A HIGH PRICE. ON THE OTHER HAND 70%OF ICAI STUDENTS ARE FROM BCOM BACK GROUND.EVEN HINDI MEDIUM STUDENTS CAN OPT FOR CA.IN CONTEXT OF CORPORATE STRATEGY REGARDING WEALTH MAXIMISATION CAS ARE AT PAR WITH MBA REGARDING FINANCIAL DECISION BUT FOR PRODUCT MARKETING,BUSINESS STRATEGY MAKING REQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF OTHER BUSINESS AREAS.FOR AN EXAMPLE SUPPOSE INFOSYS HIRE A CA AND MBA(I.I.M) AT THE SAME TIME.CA IS EXPERT IN TAXATION,AUDIT,CORPORATE LAW,ACCOUNTING,MIS ETC BUT WEAK IN FIELD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY,FINANCIAL PROGRAMING,OPERATION RESEARCH FOR NEW SOFTWARE.BUT ON THE OTHER HAND I.I.M GRADUATE IS EXPERT IN COMPUTER (BECOUSE HE IS FROM I.I.T)AND FINANCE(BECOUSE MBA DEGREE) AND HAS EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE INDUSTRY.SO NOW WHOM INFOSYS WILL PAY MORE?EVERY YEAR HOW MANY I.I.TANS/DSE GRADUATES/COMPUTER ENGINEERS JOINING CA COURSE BUT THEY ARE GOING TO I.I.M.SO UNLESS CA STUDENTS ARE COMING FROM MULTI DISIPLINE WE CAN NOT COMPARE WITH I.I.M IN CONTEXT OF SALARY IN MNCS.

MBAs are far ahead of CAs,CWAs, CSs interms of salary or nature of job or social status. it is already proved in this forum-"CAs ahead MBA" discusssion. CAs- try to prove urself.....

Anusha, Pl don't belittle someone else here. Your presence here is uselful only if you add good comments here and not by criticising other members. CA vs MBA is a very good discussion at any point of time. Because there is always things to learn from MBAs and vice-versa. Corporate strategy might be one of the reasons for superior market for MBAs. Others include presentation & interview skills. The gmcs programme is too late and too little for the qualified CA. My suggestions are 1) Have gmcs type programmes more regularly during course of articleships 2) convert theory to case studies 3) form clubs (corp finance, mgnt acctg, auditing) at the nearest branches and have regular meetings to discuss topics of interest 4) encourage articleship in industries (such as Investment banks, KPOs, IT etc)
