I am an employee in Pvt company, and my Salary is mor than 200000 ,
my company is not exemption provided for transport Allowance(12000) and LTA{6000) but 9600 exemption Provided for conveyance(12000). in form16,
can i am claim exemption for Transport & LTA and fully amount of Conveyance (which are fully exempt) in ITR filling.

Hi
Max deduction for Transport Alowance is Rs. 800 p.m. as per Income Tax act, also LTA exemption is granted only if you submit expense proofs to company.

Thanks, but i am confused about exemption by me, in self ITR e-filling when company is not given exemption in transport allowance , LTA or medical ,
can i claim exemption beyond the amount of form-16 (if i have document but not provided to company)

Hi Abhishek,
Form 16 is not the final document for I. Tax purpose. If some exemptions are left to be provided in Form 16, you can very much claim them in ITR. Further, you have sufficient documents also. Keep them with you which may be needed (chances are rare) by Assessing Officer.
