is it allowable deduction in pgbp or not .if yes why and if no why?

A simple contribution to staff welfare fund doesn't make the expense allowable as it is seen as diversion of business funds.
It will be questioned by the department in which case, activites undertaken for the welfare of the employees should be shown to support the contribution.
