hii friends & experts,
I wanted to know about the major cons of joining one of the big 4 except lesser time for preparations??
You may be exposed to only one particular area during ur entire articles period i.e either Internal Audit or Statutory Audit or like that for entire 3 yrs. But u can gain specialisation in that area. Apart from that there no cons cos u get a good brand image which will add to ur CV. u will rub the shoulders of big big MNCs. decent amount of stipend and lots.

Ahhhhh ask me....
a) Work pressure is too much.
b) Outstation audits.
c) No time for your coachings
d) u'r stuck in the same area for 3 yrs. (dey don't won't allow u to change ur service line).
e) Limited leaves for examination.
but it has many advantages as well nd as we all know to gain somethng we have to sacrifice smthng. ;)

it will not make much of a difference post qualification.....coz if u hv done meaningful work in ur firm nd have some big clients on ur CV....den it won't make any difference.....
u have to decide what u want to do post qualification...i mean whether u want to go in the industry or u want to practice or financial sector or da big4...
nd wen u decide this den u can make a rite decision....
bt if u r not able to decide abt post qualification den choose a mediocure firm....
Cheers!!!

Hi Saurabh
The pros far outlive the cons when it comes to doing your articleship in Big 4.
It gives you a huge platform to interact with professional colleagues, gives you a big boost in confidence since from the very first day you would be interacting with the top guys at the client place, post qualifiction also your negotiating powers are much better, if you approach the articleship period right then you will be really good at handling stress which not only helps you throughout your life but more importantly it is of huge benefit during the crucial examination days and so the list continue.
