Composition scheme under GST

Is it true that a supplier who is engaged in supply of exempt supply cant opt for composition scheme? what if he supplies partly taxable and partly exempt supply?

Correct, not eligible for composition as per notification 2/2018 CT

Not eligible even if any single exempt supply along with taxable supply.
