honorable sir/madam

could you please tell me how far companies act helps in CA profession.is necessary to learn each section at ipc level ?.If i learn ,is it helpful to me while doing articles.

see it depends that what kind of firm and work thereon is. but moreover no need to syduy hard abt it.

No it is not necessary to learn each section at any level including IPC but yes only important sections. Even some of these will help you immensely in your CA articles or even in work later on like sections related to Audit & auditors, Dividend, accounts, compromise & amalgamation etc., Bcoz in some way or the other they are related to your work, just learn once and use them again and again whenever required. Dear, it's very difficult to quote all the important sections out of 470 but yes let me give you a hint..as you know chapter 7 of companies Act, deals with management & administration dividend into sections from 88 to 122, so among them important provisions which you must learn are section 92 annual return, 96 AGM, 100EGM, notice 100 & statement....102 postal ballots 110 , then 111, 114, 118 & 121. But yes apart from these you should have fair understanding about other provisions as well but need not to remember them. Good luck !!
