Till now there is no notification that new companies act will be applicable for may14.

So please stop worrying just because of rumors.  ICAI already told that they will inform well in time.

So just relax.  If there is no notification till 30th nov., it won't be applicable as because institute ask us to

prepare for the last 6 months amendments.

Hii renu there was notification on icai site for companies act 2013 in may 2014

What do they mean by "well in time" ? 5 hours before the exam?? duh!

THANKS, RENU, FOR GIVING A POSITIVE MESSAGE ON COMPANY ACT, 2013. YOU ARE RIGHT, IT IS MENTION IN THE NOTIFICATION ICAI WILL INFORM US ABOUT COMPANY 2013 AND CLEAR THE SITUATION.

THANKS

I got following quoted reply from BOS via E Sahaaytaa

"Dear student, Right now, it is very difficult to tell the exact position of its applicability for May 2014 exams. The matter is under consideration. please wait for some further time. Regards"

Not even a single section of Companies Act, 2013 would be applicable for May, 2014 (Final or IPCC) Examinations - ICAI Announcement dated 18.11.2013.

Given below is the text of this Announcement:

Important Announcement Attention: Intermediate (IPC) and Final Course students Non-applicability of Companies Act, 2013 for May 2014, Examinations This is to bring to the notice of students that the Companies Act, 2013 notified in the Official Gazette on 30th August, 2013 (with partial enforcement of only 98 sections of the Companies Act, 2013 from 12th September, 2013) shall not be applicable for May 2014 examinations both at the Intermediate (IPC) and Final levels. Hi

The old Companies Act, 1956 will applicable for May 2014 attempt.

It may be very much possibility that new Companies Act, 2013 will apply for your Nov 2014 attempt.

The reason is that most of the section of old Companies Act, 1956 has been abolished which has been given in your study module.

One think I want to also clarified that the new module of Corporate law will also issued by Institute in near future.

So be ready to study of new Companies Act, 2013.

The only formality is waiting of Notification in this regards.
