08 December 2011We have received a communication of error of demand in several cases. What in most of them we dont have any liablity. So I would like to know how can be rectify those defects ?? Please clarify on an urgent basis.
We have two options either to prepare a letter in reply or to use online process of rectification upload ??????

Option two is not permit except in etds returns corrections. So Option one is apply to prove yourself that there was no tax dues / arrears. The same reply has to be submit to the respective jurisdiction officer with supporting paid challans / already recovered by the dept. in subsequent years.
