30 November 2011I have received an Arrear Demand for A.Y. 2007-08 and 2008-09 under Sec. 143(1) but there is no calculation that has been mentioned, I had e-filed my tax returns for these two A.Y's but did not post the ITR-V.
There was a substantial amount of TDS that was deducted as well, can some one help as to how to get the calculations verified.

Mr. pavan the detail you have given is not still clear fully..., so give bit more , rahter full information without mantioning name then one can give you correct guidance , as per my view.

Earlier if you have replied to the Intimation u/s 143(1) received by you relating to the demand, then write a Letter to the concerned Assessing Officer by giving reference to the reply filed with the IT Dept. by you before. Also attach the necessary proofs with the Letter and file the same again with the concerned Assessing Officer.
