Common wealth games

Tax queries 463 views 1 replies

Dear CCI collegues..

I have a doubt that : The umpires , judges , referees, all the other dignotories who took part in the Common wealth games which were held in Delhi, for conducting the games,....

Whether the remuneration which was paid to them is Taxable in India.....

If not How it is not and whether there are any reliefs to them....

Whether TDS has to be made to those people.....

Thanks in advance......

No such remuneration is not taxable in India.

As per the section 10(6)(vi) Remuneration received by Foreign National. as an employee of a foreign enterpriece, for services rendered by him during his stay in India, is totally exempt from tax subject to the fulfillment of specified subject.

So i think it is better u refer that provision....
