Hey dude. Since you didnt go for classes in first attempt, I suggest you to go for classes since it might be risky to try self study again. Get to know the best academy in your near-by city and try to enroll there. ofcourse you might have to stay away from home. But then try to look at it positively. These 4-5 months of sacrifice could save another couple of attempts for you. I dont mean to say that success is guaranteed if you go for classes. A lot depends on how you study. But still, classes help you to understand the concepts better. And when it comes to CA, conceptual understanding is the heart of the course. Select a reference book which you are comfortable with. Also when you enroll for your classes, inquire when the classes will get over and ensure you have atleast a couple of months to study after classes. Goodluck

Evaluate Yourself:
Class I : No need of attending coaching classes if U have Concept i.e. you are able to solve questions on your own and are able to understand the funda behind.
Class II : If not then I suggest you to need to take coaching classes.
If you fall in class I and you think you are about to fail, then your planning was wrong!!! You need to solve questions in a planned manner from reputed teachers' question compilation like parveen sharma, munish bhandari, etc

Hi Friend,
Though everyone has a choice whether to take classes or do self study, I believe self study is best method to score marks in any subject if the best books are available. So following are my suggestions regarding best books for CA final :
Financial Reporting - Self study textbook by CA ( Dr.) P.C. Tulsian as per revised schedule VI
Advanced Management Accounting - Self study textbook by CA ( Dr.) P.C. Tulsian
Operational Research (OR) - Self study textbook by CA ( Dr.) P.C. Tulsian
DT - Vinod Gupta Modules
IDT – Dippak Gupta Modules
Law – Munish Bhandari
ISCA – Study Material of ICAI
Audit – Surbhi Bansal / TIPS notes + Institute compiler
SFM - Not aware of any tailor made book for CA-final which is comprehensive to cover all questions. Whichever book you refer, just ensure to practice some additional questions from the last 3 Revision test Papers (RTP’s) issued by ICAI before every attempt.
Thanks
Yash
