Sir,
I have recently joined Articleship here, actully I am seconded here for attending Income Tax and FEMA related queries of NRIs and all such stuffs.
I am giving my CA Final attempt in May 10 exams and I shall be departing for India on 17th December 09.
I can manage to clear most of subjects but nt very much sure about foll subjects;
1) ISCS (Earlier known as MICS)
2) Advance Auditing.
What do you suggest me for taking care of above subjects
Thts so nice u getting this opportunity..hope finding dubai a good place...must b hectic...
i would suggest u take up classes for pratical subjects like A/cs, MAFA, costing, DT...u might b confident but better u go for classes it will ensure u r updated wit all latest problems and case laws and u haakve regular nack of reading instead of taking on together wen u get exam leave(just a thought out of my experience)
FOr MICS and Auditing i wud suggest u refer to Padhuka Publication..the beauty of this book for this two subjects are that it has covered entire module in Question and Answer format..specially for heavy subject like MICS..it wud b best ....in respect of audting, apart from padhuka refer compilation as well...padhuka has superbly covered Professional ethics and Accouting standard related case studies...
Do let me know in case u need any further help..my email id and Mobile no is in my profile..
u from Mumbai,where exactly m from Dombivli

Wonderful,
Can you let us know something more about yourself in direction of foll;
1) Current Work - working in Dubai comparing to working in India
2) life at Dubai - personal - professional
3) How u have achieved membership of this noble professions - Achivements - Drop outs etc.
4) CA - future prospect looking to recession - specially in Dubai
Thanks
Juzer
1. working in dubai (or any other country ) where there is IFRS is fruitful as auditing covers IFRS and IAAS...in a years tym infact now also there will be great demand for IFRS learners,,,main advantage ppl will be doing classroom learning of IFRS while i will b having practical experience of making and finalising accounts.
2. There is very less personal life specially in our field there is lot of work and wen u r away from ur family ur work is ur only timepass,,,if u happen to make good frds than can enjoy...plus this place is costly everything is 130 % more than indian prices....finding a place of ur choice also becomes difficult..good place but since u r out of ur home country have to bear all this things...
3. I cleared in 2nd attempt in may 2008,than came ova here
4. things are bad everywhere cz of this recession and neither india or UAE is left from it effects...i feel is better to stick with wat u have got rite now than going for ur ideal job..u ll get less pay but u ll have experience and that matters more than money in intial 3-4 years...
