Clarification regarding completion of 2nd group of Ipcc

Hi friends ,

Please help me out in this issue if anyone of you had faced this previously .

One of my friend has attempted group 2 of IPCC in November 2017 and his result is declared as failed . Upon this he has
applied for certified copied from ICAI and got them yesterday .
In the certified copies nothing were changed and marks appeared to be the same as appeared previously in the result . But in the check outcome link in Icai site it appeared that you have passed group II . All of us were in a dilemma as to which stand should he take, whether as passed or not .
If we deem it as passed how come we know the revised marks .
