I have by mistake changed a letter in PAN while filling tax challan 280.
Tax also have been paid with that wrong PAN.
Pls tell me what i have to do to correct this mistake..
i have to give letter to Income Tax Officer regarding that or have to pay tax again??!!!
Waiting to correct my mistake.....:):)

hi saranya,
it is just like prepaid recharge voucher. if u enter wrong cell no. , recharged will be done to third party. i think u sud try to contact the person , whose PAN has been quoted by you. very difficult but may be u sud take chance and u may get the amount back frm him. meanwhile u can write to the local IT office for finding solution if they have any.
