See, as per the language of institute, your working period excludes SUNDAYS and PUBLIC HOLIDAYS only..
If you are seeking any other holiday, i.e. due to holiday in ICAI or in your office., it will be considered in your leave only.. Especially, if ICAI is having holiday and your office is working that day, that would be considered as working day for you as well..
And generally institute doesn't have holidays, if it has, members too have OFFICIAL holidays those days. that means, your office would not be working on that day officially and you are entitled for it as a paid leave.

Thank u Dhiraj sir for yur response... by gazetted holidays, i meant only public holidays... for example, tomorrow is ganesh chathurti...it is a public holiday, right?
and institute will also not be functioning tomorrow... bt, my office functions tomorrow...infact, my office permits only 2 public holidays (diwali and christmas) in a year as paid leave...
so, am i entitled to take my day off on all such public holidays like independence day, republic day, gandhi jeyanthi, vijayadasami, bakrid, ramzan and so on...?
and pls, could u pls provide me the institute pronouncement which permits this
"See, as per the language of institute, your working period excludes SUNDAYS and PUBLIC HOLIDAYS only.."
coz, whn i searched the net, i got institute pronouncements mentioning only sunday as excluded from the working period calculation...
your help will be very useful sir... i ahve been searching for institute pronouncement on this for almost 2 days...i came across posts on the net...bt, only institute pronouncement will confirm it...
thanks to u in advance sir...
