28 August 2012I secured 74 Marks in Taxation.56 Marks in Cost accounting and Financial management ,33 marks Information technology and Strategic management in PCC May 2012 exams.I need know whether a student who secured an average of 60 marks in both papaers can claim exemption in that two papers.Based on this it is enough to write only the balance paper (Information technology & strategic management) in which i failed.Kindly clarify with the above points.

you can claim exemption only in taxation because you have to earn 60or above marks in subjects individually

According to the ICAI only those papers got exempt in which u have got 60 marks or above . In your Case only Taxation paper is exempt because u have got 74 marks but not in Cost Accounting & Financial Mgmt. because marks is lower than 60 .
