Hi All, Pl clarify whether Interest on Housing Loan can be claimed by son for the property owned by the mother. The son has taken the loan including mother as co-borrower and the house property is registered under mothers name. Is the any case law for the same if the deduction is allowable for the son? Thanks.

Its allowed only to assessee who is d owner of the property chargeable to tax under income tax act.
