My Client son has taken housing loan. Land and house property owned by father. Housing loan is jointly taken by father and his son as co-borrowers. Son repays entire housing loan from his salary. Father is a retired person and not repaying housing loan. Kindly clarify, Can son avail benefit of Rs.2 lakhs as per Income Tax Act.
