Yes Sir you can claim ITC on GST paid for purchase of Laptop since it is a Capital Asset / Goods. As per the Provision of Section 16(1) of the CGST Act 2017, ITC on Inputs, Input Services and Capital Goods used in the course or furtherance of business can be claimed provided that it is not Blocked under Section 17(5) of the CGST Act 2017.
Also ensure that all the FOUR CONDITIONS as laid down under Section 16(2) of the CGST Act 2017 is satisfied before claiming ITC. Following are the four conditions :
(a). Possession of a Tax Invoice.
(b). Received the Goods or Services or both.
(c). Supplier must have paid the taxes to the Government exchequer.
(d). Recipient must have filed his Return.
