CIMA has got global recognition due its marketing startegy. This is nothing but ICWAI. You may go CIMA if you are looking for opportinietis outside India,

hi there,
CIMA is just another international course.. in today's world it is advisable to go for an international course after your ca rather than going for a icwa, cs or mba...... its b'coz today we dont work in any indian, or US or european company... the companies are transnational. in various countries. so jus try to tune yourself according to wat they need... as simple as that....
if u're interested in
Accounts, u can go for - CPA (USA) and ACCA (UK)
Cost management - CMA, CIMA
Audit - you have systems audit courses in the US and UK
Portfolio management - CFP, CFA of the USA......
everything goes well wit CA.... no problem at all.. there's actually nothing called good or bad combination.... it depends on our passion to study and the industry requirements... that's all.... CIMA is into Cost management. more into costing... a real hot topic in the modern world... especially in India where we're a manufacturing hub....

Hey Rajesh and Subi...thanks u very much for the input! it was really useful. The reason i asked was because a friend of mine in the UK said that CIMA was not so hot right now! anyhow...thanks again! good luck to u both as well.

HI its not that CIMA is just for costing now they modify there studies a lot & if you are interested in Management & Financial analysis than also you can go for CIMA
