Choosing a chartered accountant

Hello Experts, I have two proprietorships. I am looking for engaging the services of a CA to file my returns (IT, TDS, Profession Tax etc.) on annual basis.

I prepare my accounts, keep my books and prepare the TB/PL/BS on my own. The data are usually ready for filing the returns - except when there are new accounting items during the year that did not exist until now. Since these new type of account items haven't been encountered thus far, I may need advise about how to treat them in the books.

I look for very simple services. File my tax returns and help me account right in case of new accounting items, if any, as said above.

What questions must I ask a prospective CA to be sure they are genuine professionals (apart from their formal qualifications)? I am just looking for some frequently asked questions when appointing a new CA.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

D. J.

I am sorry to say,  but that is very innocent question, which makes me smile.

You are asking from CA's , what questions to be asked to CA while appointing them.
