I have a PF account that has been inactive for the past 7 years. My account includes both employee and employer contributions for 10 years, and I also have a UAN number. I moved to the USA for a project and am unable to access my PF account through the portal, as I no longer have access to my old mobile number. I thought updating my Aadhaar, since it’s linked to the PF account, might help. I’ve updated my Aadhaar with a new mobile number, but it’s been almost 4 days, and the ePFO portal is still sending the OTP to my old mobile number. I’m not sure if the Aadhaar and PF accounts are linked or not.
Could anyone clarify:
- How long does it usually take for the mobile number update in the Aadhaar system to reflect in the PF system?
- Is it possible that the Aadhaar update won’t automatically propagate to the PF system? Do I need to visit the PF office to update it manually?
Any suggestions or advice given my situation would be greatly appreciated.
