Changes in CA final from old to New syllabus

Dear friends/sirs, I'm chaitanya a CA final student(new syllabus). Can any one tell me about the changes compared to old syllabus. I started taking coaching in old syllabus as new syllabus coaching was not yet started. So how far it is useful to me. which subject has less changes.Mainly i'm now concerned about MAFA and ACCOUNTS. It's urgent.

there is not much changes in MAFA but in accounts now in new syllabus more importance is given to IFRS and GAAP. as it will be compulsory from 2011

Hi Chaitanya,

I have just cleared my PCC exam both groups in may'2008 ( Today's Result only). And Now I am getting registered under CA Final ( New Course).

Can you please tell me when will be the First attempt of this CA final new course?

your final attempt will be the immediate attempt after the completion of 31/2 yrs articleship period

Irrespective of conversion from PE-II to PCC, all the students who appear for PCC exams will be eligible to write final exams only after completing the article period of 3 1/2 years...

I think what Prashasti was really asking was when the first Exam of the Final New course will be conducted.

Hi,

I passed the Group-II of CA Final in Nov'2000 (under 3A of Schedule B).

Will I get this group exempted under New Syllabus?
