Change of PAN card - Father name

Sir,

One of my Client PAN card contains wrong Fathers Name. Can it be rectified, how?

I need this i have to apply for DIN & i want to use PAN card as Id Prof.

Apply for correction in PAN Data.

link is given below, if you are in hurry you can apply online pay by credit card it will be processed fast.

or you can downloand the change pan data form from nsdl website also for physical application that will come within 15-20 working days.

its simple just fill the Pan correction form which is easily available from the income tax site....attach the proof for the same there with ...

Yeah the simplest way is to fill a correction form and send it to your nearest NSDL / UTI centre. You will get another card with effect to change in name. All this takes only 15 to 20 days.

Thisis the most cumbersome process with NSDL. You will have to provide an ID proof that contains your name as well as your father's name correctly mentioned. Therefore see if the passport has both applicants name and fathers name in full correctly mentioned and send that as proof. They will then make the change. If you cannot find any document that has both the applicant's name and the father's name, get a letter of identity indicating both names signed by a gazetted officer and send as the ID proof. My son had same problem and we finally sent a ration card issued in Gujarati that had both names correctly mentioned.

Agreed with Mr Sunil ,

Its not as easy as mentioned in earlier posts . One of my article clerk tried very hard to do it for my cousin around 4 months back , its still pending .We also submitted an affidavit which was rejected for some reason unknown to me .

ITD acceptsonly the ID proofs mentioned on the website of NSDLor UTI. You will have to select the ID Proof that has applicants as well as father's name mentioned in the same document. My son had sent birth certificate but that was not acceptable as it is not in the list of documents mentioned. Finally we sent a ration card by email and they accepted that as it contained both the names in the same document. If you cannot find a proof with both names in the same document, then you will have to provide them a letter of ID signed by a Gazetted Officer.

I have a problem for one of my client in passport the father name is mentioned the correct name and pan card with wrong father name, i have submitted the passport but they rejected they need the gazatte for father name, and the client father is no more (expired) how it is possible to give the change of name of father in gazatte.
