Is there any change in slab rates from 2 lakhs to 2.2 lakhs? by circular in october

Hi
No. Slab remained same. However 2.2 lac exemption you are referring is already existing.
It's only applicable to those whose taxable income doesn't exceed Rs. 5 lac.
For them after 2 lac deduction they will be entitled for rebate up to Rs 2000 u./s 87a.
