Please note that there are 4 subjects: Accounts - 60 questions, Law - 40 Questions, Quantitative Aptitude (Maths / Statistics) - 50 questions, Economics 50 questions. Each Question carries + 1 mark for correct answer and - 0.25 marks for the wrong answer, and 0 for no answer. So the maximum marks for 200 questions spread over 4 subjects is 200 marks.
The pass threshold is 100 marks. Technically, this would mean that if a student is going to be attempting all the 200 questions, he/she should aim to get atleast 120 answers right, so that the overall marks would be (120 x 1) minus - (80 x 0.25) would still fetch 100 marks.
The CPT exams are held twice a year - in June and December.
