We are getting a machine from Rajasthan to Uttar Pradesh for which we (purchaser) have to bear the freight
Consignment note will be in our name
however the GTA does not have a gst registration.
should we pay cgst/sgst or IGST under RCM

Reverse charge shall be applicable in case of supply of taxable goods and/or services by unregistered supplier to a registered recipient.

If you are registered under GST then POS will be location of registered person. if supplier location and your location with in same state then CGST and SGST applicable and if not IGST applicable.

so if the GTA is unregistered we will charge CGST/SGST
and if GTA is registered (in the other state) we will charge IGST
is that correct ?
