All I can say is CFA is an expensive course. If you are going to be in the United States for a while then you should pursue it.If Iam not mistaken you need to apply for a membership or the local state chapter(I dont recall exactly the terms used) after completing all levels of the course and I have heard from folks on various groups who have completed the same they have had issues getting the same when in India. So would request to do a through groundwork before you enroll for the same.I had done the groundwork on the same a few years back and there are too many issues when you are in India(although the rules may have changed in the last few years). You have to understand these courses are really for the people living in the USA.I know there are ads that pop up stating how enterprising the same can be but the ground reality is quite different.Remember each test will cost you anywhere between 500 to 700 USD plus enrollment.
Anyways here is a link :

Please do thorough groundwork before enrolling in the same.Try getting in touch with those who have completed the course before enrolling.
Hope this helps.
