I passed CA Final In May, 08. Now I have joined in co. as a Management Trainee in Finance. I want to do CFA. Can any body who is actually pursuing CFA help me by providing detail about it.

u r talkin abt CFA USA or CFA ICFAI?

cfa has 3 levels
u hav to clear 1st level and then 2nd level and then level 3
at present der is no examination centre in india.. u hav to go srilanka or nepal or pakisthan
it requires 4 yrs of working exp. to become chrtholder
u r already working.. so dis exp. wil counts for 4 yrs workin exp..
the only thing u hav to do is regstr for cfa course and give the xamination

CFA of usa one is very good and have great scope for that if we have with ca then more scope..Exams or in srilanka, nepal, singapore, austrailia, usa and uk in this you can choose any one. Time being in india its not there, they can come back to mumbai for exams center. June 08 were there in mumbai for exams but agina they removed in dec.It having 3 levels. if you complete 1 level you have good scope and fees will be like 40k and exculding travelling charges..you can check for more details below web site..all the bes.even me too will be taking by june 2010 or dec..

What is the time frame in which one can complete the CFA?
how long one has to prepare for the exam?
how gud is it vis-a-vis CPA/CMA/CIMA?

CFA you can finish by 3 years, you have 3 levels in that..you can prepare in 6 months. CPA is good one and having good scope....all the best
