Has he mentioned the date on the Original certificate of service, if yes then maybe you shouldn't try and go with a new certificate of service but if no then you are in no danger and can use the original one.
For more clarification call the student helpline of the ICAI or you could also visit the nearest Regional Centre / branch.

If articleship is completed only declaration by you is required. No attestation required. New format is issued for n17. Don't use old one. Its specifically mention in instructions that undertaking should be for Nov 17.

Don't use previous attempt's certificate of service. You have to get it attested again for this attempt.

For articleship completed candidate it is not clear whether attestation is not required. The instructions on website clearly say to get the certi. attested. Would be better to not take any risk and get it attested in any case. I have also mailed them regarding this, waiting for reply.

but in the format of certificate of service (for those whose articleship is completed ) there is no such column for attestation by any member only self declaration is required

Shubham, that's true, but the problem is that the instructions on exam website do not specifically say that those who have completed articleship don't require attestation on certificate of service. I have also mailed the exam helpline for this doubt. You can try and contact them too.

If we don't get any clarification, I think it's safer to get it attested any way.

I called up instititute on 01203054851.

The staff said that 'NO Attestion of CA is required' for the students who have Completed their Articleship.

You all can also call & confirm if required.

Dear friends, I called up several exam helplines today at 0120 3054 851/ 815/813 and also spoke to Mr. B.Muralidhar, Deputy Secretary , Exams.. They have all confirmed that for for articleship completed students self attestation on the declaration will suffice...

@ Tanmay and Subhendu Sanyal - Thanks for sharing the confirmation! For my mail query, they have still not replied. But now atleast it's safe to go with self declaration.

if you have completed your articleship then you can upload the certificate of service signed by you, you are not required to get the certificate attested by a ca, you can also contact the helpline no. of ICAI 01203054851 for better clarity

Hello everyone, can anyone please address me format of "Certificate of Service for those candidate who has completed 2.5yrs of articleship on or before 31st Oct. 2017"
