Ceo means chief executive officer appointed by managing director to look entire plant activity, responsable for growth of company.
all company executive,managerial staff work as guidance by Ceo.

Managing director is a term originally originated under uk laws while ceo is a term derived from us laws both posts are in somehow same in their functionality now india have both type companies so in india many companies appoint either md or ceo and very few have both posr but the major difference is that md is a part of board while ceo not..
