Hi,
As per defination of Input 2(k) of Cenvat Credit rules 2004 it specifically includes Lubricating oils.
Hence you can take Cenvat credit for the same.

yes, you can avail cenvat credit on Oils, & greases which are used in production

There are two points here which is to be noted.
1. input is something which is used in or in relation to manaufacture. it need not be present in the output that is manufactured. for example consumables. though they are used in manufacture u cannot identify this in the manufactured goods
2. the definition input (rule 2(k)) specifically includes the word lubircants
considering the above aspects, cenvat credit can be claimed on the lubircants

we are lubricant manufacturing co. and plan to import from outside India, Pls. let me know the custom duty and how much % of modvat we can claim for refund.
Also let me explain the procedure for getting refund of custom duty paid
