I would like to know whether case laws in income tax carry any extra weightage in exams as in Law paper?? pls help..

I don't think so. Atleast in pcc exams there was not much more related to case laws.

Dear Friends
their is No need in ipcc/pcc for the exam of Tax.
but yes it can help in LAW (Company Law) but not mandatory

They wont deduct marks but not provide you full marks and if you can refer case laws then it will more beneficial for you.
if you think its difficult dont worry Study Smart no prob at all dear.
just give full and easy clarification of questions.

actually i gave my exams this may n i hope to clear...
i didnt mention any caselaws n didnt mention sections for few questions.

For DT avoid case law as there r so many.concentrate on provisions and get yr foundation strong.
