Now aur Porf is getting more diverdified ....& salaries are rocking like any thing . YES Rohit I fully endorse your view,OPEC, consolidated in oil productions and explorations and snatched away part profit from US/European country,Our strenght is in service sector you have to consolidate same and quote only in terms of $,and MNC don't mind to pay if your service get recognized.

Dear friends the menaing of the word "Chartered" is special privilege, immunity, or exemption given to a person or a group. In indian scenario, it doesn't mean that it is a royal charter. All three institutes in india are governed by enactment of Parliament and they have incorporated for special assignments. So avoid such unhealthy debates for unnecessary issues. Try to become wise by learning more. ICAI's can do CWA and vise versa for increasing wisdom. Remember that many old members of these institutes are members of either two or three institutes. Thus they became wizards in various fields. regards Girish

May be MBA is better for planning and decision making but CA are backbone of an industry. Without the knowledge of CA a financial Plan cannt move a bit.. But MBA is better in their Point of View and CA... ALL KNOWS

hi!! Everybody give me a reason that if CA's were not professionaly more sound than MBA's then y Mr. finance minister while giving his budget presentation always made it clear that the method of caclulating the following(whatever may be the case) will be done as per the guidelines laid by the ICAI... did he ever mention as laid by the IIM's...??????

(Guest)
@ Nikita Be specific. In case of Direct Taxation, Finance Minister may refer at the time of budget presentation. But in other factors Finance minister also referred IIMs opinion. remember, In National Accounting standard Board(NASB), IIM /ICWA/ICS members also present. for your information, last time at the time of imposing Audit U/S 14AA in service tax, Finance minister refer IIM and ICWA proposal also.

Right Nikita. Irrelevent talks going one. For MBA, packaging is important, for us it is not. Without the brand name of IIM its hard for MBA to stay in competition

Mr. costexcellence please maintain some dignity while posting comments. If you are earning more than a CA by doing MBA then congrats, keep it up. But you need not to worry about position and future of CA's. Our institute is doing a good job in this regard. I have a large no. of good friends doing MBA, CS ETC. We keep on discussing scope of each field but it is always a healthy and friendly discussion and we dont have any intention to let any other down. so please continue this discussion only if you can do it in good manner.

In knowledge aspect u cant compare both. IIM n other top college's graduates salary r on higher side coz of good marketing. Rest of MBAs r poor in terms of salary as well as work profile they get. A CA may not earn as much as IIM guy in initial 2-3 yrs. but after that both can earn equal amount. If you consider the work profile then there also no comparison. CAs job is of an experts job unlike MBAs
