career with income tax + tech

Hello sir,

I am a Ca final student now. I have lot of interest (just interest, not knowledge) in technology and in app development too. I want to mix both my profession and my interest in technology. What is right choice of career for a guy like me?

I can understand how it feels when you have interest in something which has no or a far distant relation with the work you're currently doing. Just like you, I also do have interest in Tech and I'm also a  CA- Final student.

Here are the few ways, How I dealt with the same:

  • Started my own study blog: Along with having an interest in tech, I was also quite good at studies. I created a study blog for students to share my study tips - named www.studysutra.in and it got a really good reach in the only couple of months. To create a complete website, I had to learn to code - I learned that through online courses. That satisfied my urge to do something on my own and learn more about tech.
  • Started doing freelancing: One day, one of my friends came up with a friend, to help him with some tech stuff. I did it and he paid me some bucks. That was my first earning from internet. Then people started coming up and my freelancing started rolling.
  • Advance Excel and Basic Automation: While working with various MNCs, I realized that the work turns out to be monotonous and repeating after a while. For that, I tried to learn Advance Excel such as Macros and Vlookup and Basic Automation through Python which helped me to be more into tech and keep connected to the profession I work in.

Prajjwal, from which sources did you learn web development in order to create your website? Are you currently freelancing through any websites?

I've also recently started learning android development. It's nice to see someone pursuing CA being interested in coding.

Hi Varun. I'm glad that my answer intrigued you. As you asked for sources from where I learned Web Development and coding - It was from Udemy, Coursera, and Freecodecamp. And a bit of youtube too.
