I am working for a Shipping comany. We are involved in Time Chartered as well as Voyage chartered. We involved in other transportation solution like lightereage, barges etc. I feel this is very interestion industry as its act immediately with the changes in the Global economy. I have seen the earning USD.12000/- per day to USD.55000/- per day within 1.5 years.

Is anybody like to share the future of shipping industry and the prospects of CA working in finance.

Hi, see brother as u said around 55000usd per day, what more can u expect, even if there is downfall in shipping Industry after 5 yrs or so, so u would have earned which i think no CA could have earned during his whole life, and what is the average monthly salary which i can get here(CA -2 yrs experience)

Hi, I too am working in the same type of industry. But instead of calling this as Shipping industry, call it as Logistics or Supply Chain Management industry. There is a great future potential. Indias share in global trade is only less than a percent. As merchandise trade goes up, this industry being a supportive industry will have a great up.

hii i am interested in shipping industry.though i actually dont know why? apart for it being an growing industry with global potential and lucrative packages....i want to explore more abt it.i will complete my MBA in May this year & i am a fresher... want to know what are the job profiles & career prospect in this industry .As u are already a part of this industry u will be in a better position to reply to me.
