Can anyone clarify where exactly short term and long term capital gains from the sale of debt mutual funds be shown in ITR 2 and 3?
Or should/can short term CG from sale of debt funds be shown as income from other sources as they are taxed at slab rates?

Itr 2 and 3 will be applicable depending on the source of income , nature of income.
Either stcg or ltcg should be declare under capital gain head. itr form depend other income also..
Period of holding
Debt mutual fund poh upto 3yr then short term otherwise long term
