How to Calculate Capital Gains on transfer through a Release Deed inherited ancestral property being urban land with consideration ?

The year of inheritance has no importance in the calculation of long term capital gain he can add the cost incurred with respect to procedure associated with the will and inheritance obtaining succession certificate costs of executor, property valuer etc while computing the cost of acquisition.
